I know, very much surprised me.

I didn't know catering crew were allowed/supposed/trained to do revenue duties.

I don't think they are, he just wanted to check my ticket was 1st before offering complimentary stuff - not complaining though because it meant I got food between NS and Intl

Did the Cally sleeper last night, contractors on the platform, I said Inverness, they said find your coach, on they 1614 from Elgin to Inverness, no checks, same on the 1002 Inverness to Elgin!

WM trains New Street Worcester and Snow Hill Worcester lines and Cross Country Nottingham to Cardiff; no checks onboard. FGW Cotswolds line conductor doing ticket checks. Barrier checks at all Birmingham stations.

Good trip on the network today travelled in to Marylebone where gates where working with an undercover rpi observing the gates for any tailgaters. 14:30 Waterloo - Guildford full ticket check by a very efficient guard in the whole 2 x 444 consist with gates working @ Waterloo and Guildford. Then took 15:53 Guildford to Aldershot with gates working both ends. I then took the 16:30 Aldershot to Ascot and on to Staines with gates working both ends. Gates also fully working at Virginia Water and Egham. Then travelled on the 18:08 Staines to Vauxhall with gates working both ends.
