Did a Heart of Wales ranger yesterday with Jim;

Newport - Shrewsbury - Llanelli - Newport

Plenty of unit variety & a bit of freight, very dull and often wet day. The HOW line train was also running late throughout. I was hoping to get a few shots during the token exchanges and passing point but this was not to be. Nice ride though. Incidentally, the section from Knighton to Llanddrindod Wells was opened 140 years ago tomorrow.

A run along this line behind a 37 would be a fantastic experience, several miles of 1 in 60 approaching the summit at Llangunllo.
