According to the BBC, the two Heritage Routemaster Routes will operate between Tower Hill and Piccadilly Circus (via the 15?) and from Aldwych to Royal Albert Hall (via the 9?). Travelcards/passes will be accepted and the service will run daily between about 9:30am to 6:30pm.

No mention has been made about when the service will commence and who is bidding though.

Further information on this topic from a TfL press release:

The vehicles used would be
Routemaster buses owned by Transport for London.

Drivers and conductors would be employed by the bus company which wins the
contract.

Standard fares would apply on both services, and all valid Bus Passes,
Travelcards, Freedom Passes, Oyster Cards and Saver Tickets would be
accepted.

The Routemasters to be used date from 1959-1965 but have been refurbished
during the last few years to prolong their life and to conform to more
recent emissions standards. Examples of this type of bus may be seen
operating until October on route 13.

Transport for London will shortly be writing to stakeholders to seek their
views on this proposal. The proposed introduction date for the services is
Autumn 2005.
