Hi Folks,

I'd like to travel from Horsforth, Leeds to Cheltenham to do some filming, with an overnight stay, mid week towards the end of August or early September, but I'd like to avoid Cross Country unless its a HST. Probaly an early departure from Horsforth 07:00 or so. What would you recommend? Also price-wise to try and keep it reasonable, first class bargains always considered!

Cheers!

Horsforth - Leeds - Sheffield - Nottingham - Cheltenham
Nottingham - Cheltenham would be a Class 170

Horsforth - Leeds - Manchester Piccadilly - Crewe - Birmingham New Street - Worcester - Cheltenham.

Have no idea if that's a Permitted Route though...

Thats a lot of changes, but an interesting route, would imagine multiple tickets.

Might be worth checking out fastjp.com, as it will generate an itinerary for you avoiding certain TOCs if you choose - in your case, Crosscountry.

The two main journeys it is showing are:
• Horsforth - Leeds - Piccadilly - Newport - Cheltenham Spa
• Horsforth - Leeds - Piccadilly - Crewe - Smethwick Galton Bridge - Worcester Shrub Hill - Cheltenham Spa
