Now, as the subject is Cross-border road and rail connectivity - Can we Please have some Northern Ireland Railways / Translink style connectivity please? I find it such a shame that over here, the idea of connecting good quality bus services with rail services seems to be dragging along - Contrast this with NI Railways / Translink, where you'll find that most of the newer stations / rebuilt stations have bus stations built next door - Bangor, Belfst GVS, Colraine, and the new Newry station to name a few.

Yes, interesting.
I thought they got an easy ride really, from a dozy lot of MPs.
Not much for North Wales, especially with no VT present (or XC).
Seeing as the subject was cross-border transport, that's a bit odd.

Mark Hopwood was impressive for FGW, Mike Bagshaw deflected all the tough questions.
Just give us the money. He knows the MPs have no real power.

I thought Mark Longland was also impressive for NR.
Not good news for the potential Blaenau slate flow though.

All backpedalling really until the HLOS/IEP announcement and GW is refranchised.

Agree with you, I have this morning received the full uncorrected transcript of the meeting,if anyone wishes to read this please PM me with an e mail address, its on the Parliamentary publications site,July 3rd, but I am unable to find the link.
