I am travelling to Bristol Temple Meads on Thursday. Does anyone know if any HST's go from there anymore? If so where do they go? Thanks

You can also get short form (2+4) "Castle" sets on services between Cardiff and Taunton/Penzance stopping here.
We were thinking of Cardiff or weston super mate. Any idea how many a day or times?

Not sure personally, although I'm aware a UK HST enthusiast group exists on Facebook that other users on here have pointed users towards.

They leave Cardiff on most xx00 hours throughout the day and through Weston at XX25 westwards and xx44 towards Cardiff
Is that most days of the week at the minute? Brilliant thanks for that. My lad wants to go to Bristol just for that.

From Bristol TM you’ll get a 2+4 HST at roughly xx20ish every hour to Cardiff or xx50ish every hour to Taunton/Penzance.

Monday to Saturdays only - the diagrams are different on Sundays.

An HST set has worked the 1V54 Edinburgh to Bristol TM all week. Booked into Temple Meads at 14:33.

Yesterday at least the 1435 from Bristol Temple Meads to Edinburgh was an HST, I don't know if it's a regular thing or just on certain days or whatever. Someone wiser than me should be able to advise.

As booked. And has been for many years.

Strictly speaking it would have been 1430 a few years ago, 1435 is a much more recent time ;) Given how much XC liked to run HSTs only on certain days of the week on some journeys in the past, it's understandable to be unsure whether a service with an HST one day is actually going to be the next day

Does anyone know where the XC HST’s are today? I’ve been on two sets that should have been HST’s that have been 4/5 car voyagers instead. That’s normally a minor inconvenience but today these are the only trains each hour between Bristol TM and Bristol Parkway via a diversionary route. Wedged, doesn’t cover it. I believe I may have been part of a record-breaking number of people in a voyager vestibule...

*Yes there is a GWR replacement bus, but it’s pointless West-bound due to the timings vs the train.

I remember yesterday Cross Country warned that one of their HSTs had failed at Plymouth, with that working being covered by splitting 2x220s- 1 220 covering the HST service and the other 220 working it's intended service.
