There’s never been a plan for them AFAIK.Two TGS! That rather suggests that the TGS to ScotRail thing is dead in the water.

I've got 40900/902/904 as First Group owned, and 40901/903 as Porterbrook owned.
Have any of the coaches been sold or advertised for sale privately? In particular the Buffet cars...they would surely make a great cafe for someone, somewhere - or are there rules and regs about this sort of thing? Apart from the obvious cost in transport and getting a suitable base for them to sit on, they are ready fitted with a kitchen!
Which carriages are going to LSL at somestage roumers said hosking went to Cf booth to get better onesApparently 41183, which was recently sent to CF Booth, has been sold on to LSL and moved to Crewe.
Apparently 42076 and 42572 have been rejected from the ScotRail rebuild programme, and sent to CF Booth for scrap.
I have 42339 as having gone to Sims at Newport on 9th April; it would likely have been demolished within days. The other ‘missing’ trailer is 42339 and a search on this site has not thrown up any results.
What did happen to 42339?
Did it make the journey to the scrapyard (Sims?) and was it cut up there or has it been moved somewhere for storage like 44044?
Hopefully someone will have the answer.
BRLG has the formation as: 47815 + 6330 / 44016 / 42071 / 42081 / 42074 / 44002 / 42048 / 42066 / 42050 / 6338.8 Mk3s on their way from Ely to Doncaster, anyone know the formation please.
How many approximately are now left at Long Marston and Ely? Can't be many.
I know you're only passing on info from elsewhere but 42081 is listed as scrapped at Newport on the list on page one of this thread.BRLG has the formation as: 47815 + 6330 / 44016 / 42071 / 42081 / 42074 / 44002 / 42048 / 42066 / 42050 / 6338.
I think that's an error.... do we know what date it was reported as going?I know you're only passing on info from elsewhere but 42081 is listed as scrapped at Newport on the list on page one of this thread.
Out of interest, apart from the royal train carriages, are any of the prototype HST carriages still in existence? I believe at least one was in a LNER rake which may now be with EMR...

Yes that was an error - had put 42081 instead of 42079.... now corrected.I know you're only passing on info from elsewhere but 42081 is listed as scrapped at Newport on the list on page one of this thread.
I have 42355 and 42357 as both at Ely, so presumably they won't be used by EMR.There's a handful still around:
Network Rail:
975814 - 41000
975984 - 40000
Porterbrook - but now in Wabtec Doncaster:
42353 (Ex FGW)
Angel - but now in Eastleigh pending it's future:
42356 - 42002 (Ex FGW)
Angel - Unsure of current locations:
42355 - 42000 (Ex LNER)
42357 - 41002 (Ex LNER)
41170 - (Ex LNER / painted in Blue Grey and stored in Ely).
Royal Train:
2903 - 11001
2904 - 12001
No worries, thanks for sortingYes that was an error - had put 42081 instead of 42079.... now corrected.
EMR stock is either at Neville Hill or Gascogine wood. Ex LNER stock at Ely is stored and at the moment no future use.I have 42355 and 42357 as both at Ely, so presumably they won't be used by EMR.
I make it 195 HST vehicles gone for scrap. I’d take what Clinnick says with a pinch of salt. Rail/Liar isn’t known for accurate reporting.update here from Richard Clinnick regarding mk3 scrapping.
