So a “Classic” HST has stepped in for an IET. How far has Harry Patch made it thus far?

Workings appear to be slightly different from the diagrams posted in the frequently requested thread
An additional working - 12:15 Plymouth to penzance noted as a 4-car HST yesterday. According to RTT starts at Laira, works the 12:15 to Penzance, then the 16:11 return to Plymouth and back to Laira
The 14:50 Newton Abbot to Plymouth does indeed run through to Penzance. and then forms the 19:15 back to Plymouth - then to Laira.
The 15:56 Plymouth to Penzance supposedly off the former diagram is still an HST - so appears to be on a third diagram - i have worked out that diagram below.
The 16:45 Plymouth to Penzance arriving 18:44 is also a 4-car HST. So you end up with 3 Castle HST's at Penzance at that moment before the 18:45 departs to Plymouth. The 18:44 arrival gets shunted into Long Rock.
A third diagram appears to start from Long Rock, Penzance 7:30 to Ply 9:20, 10:46 Ply to Penzance 12:47, Penzance 13;25 to Plymouth 15:17, Plymouth 15:56 to Penzance 18:04, Penzance 18:45 to Plymouth 20:37 then to Laira

RTT shows my train as 150 to Penzance 2moro (Sunday), hoping a Castle turns up

Which train ? RTT does not show what is booked to work a train.
RTT shows what the train is timed as not what will turn up. Currently all GWR local services are timed at 75mph max (15x) irrespective of if it is normally a HST or not.
It doesn't; open data websites such as OTT and RTT do not (currently) show the allocated traction. What you are looking at is just a timing load.

No. There are no short HSTs to Carmarthen. They are for Swansea crews to train as here:-

Castle sets have been converted to plug doors and Classics are those with Slam Doors which are gradually being converted to Castles.

If there was it wasn't in passenger service and nothing STP.
I must be mistaken then. Cant of been 43 172 but it was definitely a HST. I dont think it was in service as it looked dark in the coaches.

Around 14:30 and towards Clifton Down.

Thanks. 43172 passed Stapleton Rd at 1425 and arrived at Filton Abbeywood at 1433
That must've been it then. Guess I was further down the line than I thought.
