Identify the train at Glasgow Central?

Need a bit of help, apparently one of my pals seen a pointy train at Glasgow Central last night, shunting in and out all night, and was longer than the sleepeR being around 10 coaches?

Scotrail Class 380? They're pretty pointy I guess.

Do you know what colour it was? Only thing I can think of is a Class 800 or a Network Rail recording/measurement train

I'm fairly sure I read that it would have been 800201 and 800202 coupled together.

Yes that’s the one! It was shunting in and out at central and this matches it.

I’m assuming it must’ve been a class 800 then, but he seemed to think it was an old train that had been refurbed, so I’m really not sure anymore

If it was the posted RTT link the headcode was 5X and it was an electric loco, so the chances are it was an IET.
