The British government is proposing to set up a government-run Great Britain Railways (Great British Railways) to solve the problem of confusion over the frequency and other services caused by the privatization of the rail network in Britain. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said the unified rail board would simplify the fare structure, make schedules more punctual, and improve energy efficiency, but also stressed that it would not return to the chaotic state of British Rail in the past. I wondered how it can achieve that? If flexibility of deploying rolling stock will improve?

At this point in time, too little is known for certain to answer that question. However there are many, many threads already discussing these and many others

These seem to be the 3 most relevant to your query, but for others search 'Great British Railways' in the forum search tool.
