Location
Near Ashurst New Forest Station
The local radio this afternoon was saying that there was an incident at Haslemere, which had resulted in trains from Guildford to Portsmouth being delayed up to 60 minutes. I wonder if they ran trains through the usual Down line or through the centre road?

There were three and a half hours of delays with no trains for a long while due to a "trespass incident". Here is a quote from NRE:

Trespass incident at Haslemere, between Guildford and Havant

Time Reported: 17:22

Route Affected: London Waterloo – Clapham Junction – Wimbledon – Surbiton – Weybridge – Woking – Guildford – Haslemere – Havant – Fratton – Portsmouth & Southsea – Portsmouth Harbour

TOC/s Affected: South West Trains

Description: Train services between Guildford and Havant are being disrupted due to a trespass incident at Haslemere. Delays of up to 50 minutes can be expected. The estimated time for a normal train service to resume is 1-2 hours.

Updates: 20:10 Train services are able to operate normally again through the area, but residual delays may still occur.

Time reported cleared: 20:59
