Not my picture, but I've seen a claim that this is on display at Edgware Road station (presumably the Circle one). It appears to be a video feed of an LED platform indicator elsewhere on the station.

  1. Is it real?
  2. Is it current?
  3. Is it temporary (perhaps due to the 4LM works)?

They were real, placed in ticket hall and at bottom of stairs on platforms.
I believe they have now been removed after CBTC was commissioned.

A sensible, low-cost solution to provide additional next-train information particular near to the footbridge. They were still functioning in mid-January (including the one present in the former signal cabin, which was the primary reason for their provision) but I haven’t been to Edgware Road since then. Certainly information would be a step backwards without them, even with real-time countdown now being available.
