I don't see why there'd be any speed restriction; it's not a zombie apocalypse (yet)! Maybe you're just on Northern?I'm making what is likely to be my last train ride for a while
We do seem to be going damn slowly. Is there any blanket speed restriction?
What was the journey time? What train were you on? Was the train on time?Cross country. It's a one stop journey I make daily-or did. Definitely slower both BUT to DBY and back the other way.
The 08:21 looks as though it was following a very late running freight train. The 8.21 this morning was definitely late. I got the 10.38 back the other way and to be honest I had other things on my mind but we were definitely going much slower than normal.

The 0821 was following a fright train which was 5 hours late. Also the run into Derby would possibly be under caution signals due to the Crewe service being in platform 3 already. The 1038 was only 1 min late into Burton and would of had no caution signals as the 1030 Plymouth was already at Clay Mills when the 1038 was leaving Derby. The 8.21 this morning was definitely late.
