Is there a way to see which TPE trains are longer than 3 cars?

I waited in vain at Leeds today after work for one of these fancy new, long trains to turn up towards Manchester. All we got were a succession of piddlng 3 carriage 185's (except the 6 carriage one in the middle of the rush hour that had a unit locked out).

You can tell which ones a 3 carriage as it stops at platform 16A. The longer ones just show as Platform 16. Apologies if you knew this already.

I hadn't noticed this previously, although I did on Friday.

If it helps the services currently allocated for "fancy new long trains" are the 08:15, 12:15, 15:15 and 19:15

Cheers.

I must admit, I thought there were more !
There's also four class 68 + mark 5 diagrams, in addition to the two class 802 diagrams 37078xotTE states, covering services westbound from Leeds to Manchester Victoria at 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 18:00, 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 (The latter to Piccadilly), if they all run.

There's supposed to be up to six class 802 diagrams operating right now. There's evidence on the dedicated diagrams thread that all six have been booked for class 802s on at least one day this month, but I don't think that they're running reliably. Ultimately, those six should be westbound from Leeds to Manchester Victoria at 06:15, 08:15, 09:30, 11:30, 12:15, 13:15, 14:30, 15:15, 19:15, 19:30, 20:15 and 21:30.

The times stated previously as definitely booked for 802s highlighted for clarity.

On the TPE app click on 'live times', then choose any TPE train and they usually show the number of carriages

Ah cheers. I wonder if they'll put one on around 17:15 at some stage !

Yes, eventually all Newcastle - Liverpool services will be 802s, and all Manchester Airport/Liverpool - Middlesborough/Scarborough services will be 68s + Mk5s
