Could it be that fraudster from the Cottingham area? I forget his name...

And they have some glowing "Testamionals" !! :D

I'm also curious about where the 'capital of London' is; Waterloo maybe?!

There are some, ahem, 'interesting' images of "their fleet" on the Facebook page! Mostly dealer photos I would say, except for the very obvious publicity shot of the Irizar Scania. How strange...

Apparently the first 500 Facebook 'Likes' will receive a £15 travel voucher. Bearing in mind the fares are allegedly from a pound, that's an awful lot of free trips!

The only logical explanation I can think of is that this is some GCSE coursework about a fictional company that has been put online.

It's clearly not a real Company, though it could be a fraudster trying to get gullible illiterate people to part with their cash.

That £17.99 fare is amusing.

That was my first thought however they are replying to people on Facebook. And that mess of a web site would fail a gcse.

Also the way of speaking on Facebook seems to suggest someone older than a gcse student. If it wasn't for the pictures of reasonably new expensive coaches, I would wonder if it was a few drivers trying to go into buisness for themselves

Found another Facebook page for this 'company' http://www.facebook.com/LeeLonTravel.
There 'owner operator' is called Andrew may. And on one of the photos you can make out m coaches ltd as the operator http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=115312095285833&set=o.107596679390708&type=3&permPage=1.
There is also a photo of the owner on this page which could be helpful to the police if it is a fraud and not causework.

Edit: also just noticed that the same photo has a coach broker logo in the bottom corner

Wow. I would have to agree with yorkie that that would have to be leaked coursework if indeed anything legitimate, however it looks way too serious and I'm not entirely sure what subject would actually require something like that to be produced. I spy a scam I think.

And that mess of a web site would fail a gcse.

And so would your sentence! :P Don't start sentences with conjunctions, don't split compound words and capitalise initialisations.

A search on the postcode on the side of that coach links to the operator trading on this website http://www.cheapcoachhire.com/ wonder if he minds his coach being used on this facebook page

Reads like a kid to me, or possibly someone with learning difficulties, owing to the atrocious punctuation. Then again if it is a scam based overseas that could explain it.

Either way is there a way we can report it or something?

Well unless/until anybody actually parts with some money, no actual offence is being committed I would imagine. It isn't illegal to be a fantasist! Does this Google Wallet thing actually work, I've never heard of it before TBH!

Hello

I would like to book 20 seats to travel between Wakefield and London. How much will it cost?

Cheers

Today

Dear Charlie,
Thanks you for your request. The total cost would be £399.80. What date are you planning to go?, as we run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday or it would be £450 if you would like us to provide your own coach for the return trip to London.

Many Thanks

If it's not changed from when I did GCSE IT (which it probably has as that was over 10 years ago) the idea for coursework is you build a prototype system and provide screenshots and documentation of that system, opposed to submitting a URL or a disc with the system loaded on to it.

That's what I recall - but when I did it I still made a site 'for real' rather than mock one up, just because. The e-mail seems to prove it's not that though.

Don't think any coach company that runs scheduled services would run an extra service for one person for an extra £50!

This is so obviously a scam (I mean, the website was created with www.moonfruit.com and he hasn't even registered his own domain that costs £5 for 2 years!).

The only upside is that I doubt ANYONE would be silly enough to give him any money, so his get-rich-quick scheme is somewhat flawed.

Looking at Andrew May's Facebook account, he claims to be in a relationship with a Mirabel Bush, from Honduras, USA and then the photos of her are of a porn star, with a watermark that advertises a (NSFW) porn site: http://andipink.com

Or maybe he doesn't know her real name is Andi Pink. :)

The owner has had 6 jobs in the last 12 months according to his own facebook page.
He is 23 years old, (assumption as he left secondary school in 2005).
He has listed a further education academy, which I have looked up and it appears to be a very low level of further education for those who are less academic.
Despite all of his apparent employments, he doesnt mention he was a Shell pump attendant in June of this year, as can be seen by some of the pictures on his facebook where he has been tagged in someone elses pictures hard at work.
Without a doubt I now believe this coach company to be a scam

Not so sure it's stalking when it is all there to see. You don't need to be friends with him for one.

Anyway, joking aside, this could well become a situation that does see people losing money. Perhaps something should be done?

Trouble is though, what offence is being committed? Assuming he has taken no money from anybody, I doubt there would be anything much that could be done. I would have thought the Police and Trading Standards would likely just chuckle, such is the standard of that website!
