Total length of line 5 1/2 miles,

Wootton to Havenstreet 1 1/2 miles

Smallbrook Jn to Ashey - 1m 54c
Ashey to Haven Street - 1m 44c
Haven Street to Wootton - 1m 41c (to the buffers)

Nice to see good ol' imperial units. From a recent visit, Ashey seemed to be midway between Smallbrook and Havenstreet.

for the benefit of members who may not be familiar, a chain is an Imperial unit of measurement being 66 feet or 22 yards, there are 80 chains to the mile

however, this does throw the Wikipedia mileage of 5 1/2 into doubt? The other source was that originally the IOWSR operated between Wootton and Havenstreet, a distance of 1 1/2 miles
