Once again it's time for the Santa specials...

A beautiful morning so i decided to try and catch the train, expecting to see Lydham Manor i was surprised to see 'Ajax' ( the smallest engine the P&DSR have) with D7535 supporting. With plenty of clag from D7535 and lots of fumes from Ajax Goodrington was blackened!

Slightly off topic, but if anyone's interested, unique Caprotti valve geared BR Standard 5MT 73129 and BR Standard 4 Tank 80098 are taking turns on the Santa Special trains at the Midland Railway-Butterley this year, and December 24th will possibly be the very last day for steam to run on the line until February 2006.
