Haven’t they done this before bided for contracts and won them them decided not to take them on?
Rumoured that JMB won’t be taking up spt contracts that they won
Could you post the link?Spt have released their latest committee paper and jmb have withdrawn their bid for contracts with the 235/236 and the Cory local services staying with Stuart’s and the 147/247 being taken over by blue bus
ThanksFor JMB hand back of contracts: http://www.spt.co.uk/documents/latest/Ops260419_Agenda10.pdf
For proposed contract awards: http://www.spt.co.uk/documents/latest/Ops260419_Agenda11.pdf
I suppose it'll help keep them going if the West Lothian contracts get cut back later this year. That's a surprise blue bus taking over the 247..
Very strange considering it’s way out of their operating area and they can’t cover the work they have just now. The past few weeks JMB drivers have been parking buses up in Motherwell to have meal breaks because there is no drivers to take them off. Therefore they are breaching the registration of the service.Jmb travel are taking over the CG1 service in the east end of Glasgow from Monday

I wonder if JMB will actually take on these newly won contracted work
They do a dial a bus at the moment. Not sure if it runs onWill this be JMB’s first evening/Sunday work? On another note, both JMB’s 240 and First’s short 240’s seemed to be running around empty when I was up in Bellshill yesterday. Far too many buses running around Lanarkshire atm – something’s going to have to give.
Interesting

Maybe this is there way to fix their staffing issues and get drivers for the tendered work they will be doing. They may register another service but so will need to wait and see. Maybe this cancellation is a result of what they witnessed when doing their survey.Interesting but not surprised maybe a sting in the tail with McGills and JMB surveying services at Brandon Parade and Bellshill this week...Looked a jolly get-together lots of back slapping and the like tally ho yellow vest man
I agree, possibly tie up with the masters of tendered services ..well dial a bus in LanarkshireMaybe this is there way to fix their staffing issues and get drivers for the tendered work they will be doing. The JMB - McGills tie up has been rumoured for a while. Apparently McGill’s have shares in JMB. The enviros have very similar interiors to the ones McGill’s have of the same age.I agree, possibly tie up with the masters of tendered services ..well dial a bus in Lanarkshire
It was suggested that there was a tie up when the enviro 200 classics appeared out of the blue.
Most operators will publicise and go into PR overdrive etc but not JMB so..your thoughts
The 200 classics which JMB have ,have similar interior livery to McGills and cant be consider standard stock as I believe the livery used by McGills would be copyrighted or trademarkedWhat Enviros? Surely you mean ADL's standard specification stock!
