He made it... I guess he used a photo of a bus cab instead of a train cab and roads textures rather than rail textures.

Nah. It is the same as Railway except now is on road. You can trick BVE. You just have to code the rail but the texture as a road not a track. For the bus simply put the panel as a bus cab instead of the train cab and change the others images too.

It does makes some sense, but hopefully the bus will not be automatic. I prefer driving Manual to Automatic as that is what real driving are for. Automatic can be good if you are like our subway driver, who actually sleeps while driving.

Would you really need to steer a bus down Oxford Street, it's a relatively straight road isn't it? Just stop at bus stops instead of stations and when some "blind shopper" tries to get themselves run over rushing to the January sales.

You can. But as the Train and Bus Routes you can't control where you go.

IIRC Sacha Dodd built a Horse pulled Canal Route for BVE 2 a few years ago.

Not a clue. I think it was a one off and I have no idea what or if the link is still active. As I said before it's been a few years since it was done.
