You can use these TOCs: Arriva Trains Wales, CrossCountry, First TransPennine Express, London Midland, Merseyrail, Northern Rail, Virgin Trains

The restriction is not before 08:45.

A 16-25 Railcard can be used at any time but there is a minimum fare of £12 for travel before 1000 Monday to Friday (apart from during July and August).

Railcard minimum fares do not apply to rovers and rangers. You can use a railcard discounted Lancashire Day Ranger at or after 08.45 Monday - Friday or anytime at weekends or bank holidays.

16-25 Railcards have a £12 minimum fare on most walk up singles and returns before 10am Monday to Friday though.

"You can use any of the Day Rangers or the North West Round Robin shown in this guide on trains timed to depart after 0845 Monday to Friday. You can use them at any time during weekends and Bank Holidays." (page 8)
