Lancaster [LAN] - Greater Manchester Y-P return

    Itinery:

    1st Dec - leave after 4pm to be at Manchester Oxford Road before 7pm for the amazing Funkadelic gig
    - gig finishes between 10-11, need to get back to Wigan/Gathurst/Pemberton or can arrange to be picked up from the gig to go home.

    4th Dec: - Leave Wigan North Western any time
    - Tick off bagging Heald Green/East Didsbury/Heaton Chapel/Levenshulme/Hag Fold on the way back.
    - Get back to Lancaster at a reasonable time.

    Ideas: Some kind of week return to Manchester Oxford Road (forget the proper name for it) and add on a GMPTE Rail Rover on a Sunday or get a return to Bolton and get rail rovers on both days (if it's cheaper). I've got a 16-25 railcard.

    Any suggestions? :)

    A Lancaster-Manchester off-peak return is £10.90 with a railcard. It's valid for break of journey, and is valid via Wigan.

    Use for all your travelling on the first.

    On the 4th, A rail ranger gives unlimited travel in Great Manchester for £4.40 a day. Finish off by travelling via Wigan, then resume your journey on your off-peak return up to Lancaster.
