Travelling on the Chepstow-Gloucester line recently I noticed an interesting installation near MP 130 north of Lydney. Obligingly, the train slowed down to observe a TSR so I got quite a good look.
Poles about 1m high are set in the steeply sloping bank in a grid pattern with a solar-powered camera pointing at them. I assume the images are transmitted to a civil engineer's office somewhere where a computer analyses them to detect any movement.
Can anyone point me to further information please?
