I know of the limited service via Knottingley, but I'm wondering if via Gilberdike is a permitted route? I know this involves a double-back, but it's the most direct way. All planners seem to route via Doncaster. Thanks for any help.

Leeds and Goole are both routeing points, so we don't need to undertake a fares check.

Permitted routes can be found on Maps DO and HL.

Map DO gives Leeds - Doncaster - Goole
Map HL gives Leeds - Selby - Gilberdyke - Goole

So yes, travel via Gilberdyke is perfectly valid.

There doesn't seem to be any trains that stop at Gilberdyke to/from Leeds so if you did want to go that way it would be the via Brough fare to enable you to get a Leeds bound train
