Lincoln Unusual LNER

Hi,

A friend of mine sent me some photos today from Lincoln, specifically a very short 225 set being pulled through towards Peterborough. Does anyone know what this was doing?

The HST in the station is also unusual, as this is one of the new Azuma services, though I expect this was to so with delays on the network?

The pictures attached were taken around 1119.

Mk4s heading for storage at Worksop?

It was noted that the third rake of four mark 4s for Transport for Wales moved to Eastleigh today for refurbishment work - So the four car mark 4 rake could well be that, depending on the route that it took. The formation looks to be correct for one of the future TfW sets.

That is indeed the set heading to Eastleigh for conversion for Wales.

I think it was 5Q99, 0832 Doncaster Carr - Reading / 5X99 continuation to Eastleigh Tsrmd.
It went off its booked route Doncaster - Peterborough which is why I couldn't find it listed on RTT in the Lincoln area.
