Liverpool Local Concession pass - Avanti trains

I have a Liverpool over 60 local concession pass;

If I have an off-peak ticket from/to Liverpool South Parkway (LPY) and I'm changing at Crewe, can I jump on an Avanti service to/from Lime St., even though the train does not call at LPY, (i.e. my pass covers the journey between Lime St and South Parkway)?

Yes you can. I am in the same position as you and I have done so many times.

Although you must make sure that your train passes Liverpool South Parkway at or after 09:30am (or is at least scheduled to) Monday to Friday.

Basically it's valid on the 09:26 from Crewe to Liverpool and later.

You could also travel Crewe-Chester-Birkenhead-Liverpool with that combination.
