Liverpool to Manchester by Virgin Trains - Rover validity

Could anyone please confirm my opinion that I should be ok to travel between Liverpool and Manchester by Virgin trains with a Freedom of the North West (North West Rover) tomorrow. There are a number of Euston-Manchester services which have been extended to/from Liverpool. They appear in the public timetable as a service between Liverpool and Manchester.
