What was the reason that london midland diagramed their 10 class 153 units with such low utilisation? Was it that they did not want to pay the leasing fees? Obviously too late now as 3 have scarpered but if i was in charge of them I would have... 1 on marston vale. 1 on coventry to nun eaton. 3 coupled together on a snow hill diagram. 1 coupled to a 3 car 150 (now a 170) on a snow hill diagram. 2 on chase line. 2 at depot. Pretty amazing that they are down to 4 diagrams after they originaly had stourbridge and wolverhampton to walsall(?). Why have they under utilised them recently?
