There are three trains from Leeds to Bradford, admittedly Interchange, which arrive early enough to make the 0630 from Forster Square, but as you note a very early start is needed.

There are seven MK4 sets. Considering the Azuma issue I’m disappointed only two will be out. Even if they’re the only south of York captive diagrams and they end up on Edinburghs it wouldn’t be hard with a route conductor, or terminating at Newcastle for a cross platform shuttle to Edinburgh.

More to it than that.

Regarding North of York, in addition to Driver, TM & Catering competency, there’s station dispatch competency and (lack of) Thunderbird provision to consider for a start.

Regarding 7 sets - true, but the plan to get them back is linked in to the HST removal from Neville Hill, due to space constraints - its a choreographed dance. Then they’ll need exams / test runs etc before coming back.

Bear in mind that this has all happened very quickly - I’m certain that the person who created the plan for this week would have used the available stock in the most appropriate way within the constraints given....

One diagram Monday only then stood down
Thanks. Is that as LNER have enough 800s to run their new summer timetable? Or just use their 'reservation compulsory' approach to choke off enough travel?

They have enough Azumas available to run the covid/Kings Cross engineering world timetable.

They will return as planned on June 7th when they go back to 100% timetable

I've noticed on RTT that there have been two 225 diagrams (commencing with 1A09 and 1A25) yesterday and today. Does anyone know if this is this expected to be the case for the remainder of the week?

This is the plan, but of course usual caveats apply (namely, it’s dependent on Azuma availability).
