Short answer, because BR! It must've been late early 90s. It was a 47 on the front iirc.
I’d love to know when, as I can not recall any Mk4s working in passenger service on the Midland Mainline ever!

Amazing. Remember the West Coast diversions complete with 87s and 90s in the early 1990s, but never a East Coast electric diversion.

That’s is probably what ‘43302’ is referring to. Wcml stick with dvt

I can assure you I am on about a Mk4 set on the MML ;) I'll see if I can dig out a photo.

I remember this one, I think at was an East Coast Leeds to London service that got very diverted, industrial action springs to mind. I think it was 47 402 that hauled it

Once it arrives at Leeds on 1D09 this will then go ecs to Neville Hill due to a fault on dvt.

Looking at the most recent Fleet List update from the 225 group, only two Mk4 vehicles are now reported as being stored at Worksop - DVTs 82210 & 82218.

Others in store until recently now scrapped or at Doncaster Wabtec.

Funnily enough I saw this as I was walking down Briggate in my lunch hour - couldn’t quite work out what it was until I saw the DVT.

My last listing has the following at Worksop:
10307, 11316, 12229, 12308, 12410, 12526, 82204, 82206, 82210 and 82218
Have any of these (apart from 82210 & 82218) moved to Doncaster or have they all gone for scrap?
If the latter, is it known where they were cut up?

TIA

Final thoughts on the design: I think they should put the LNER logo at the ends of each coach just to complete the Intercity look.

10307, 11316, 12229, 12308, 12526, 82204, 82206 - all sold to TfW; reported moved from Worksop (to Doncaster?)
12410 - sent to Booth's for disposal in May.

Another question, what year the Class 91 were fitted with pantograph lights (which I believe they have overhead camera)?

Sims Metals seem to be unusually taking their time as pics have emerged on Fb showing 91122 + 91128 still awaiting their doom at the Newport site

Perhaps a request by Eversholt to strip them to provide parts for the LNER fleet, which I suppose is cheaper than ordering in new spares providing they arent already knackered. I also believe they use a traditional gas axe on them compared to the excavators as its a bit much for them to handle.

Think an excavator with a grab handle was used to rip apart 91132 at Sims Metals Beeston last year, however the ones that went to Booths a few months ago will have definitely been gas axed

Further pics of Sims Newport have emerged on Fb and 91122 is unbelievably still intact. However 91128 has now been dismantled as there can be seen some 91 remnants

I visited 29th july and the remains of 91128 were been removed with a grab and loaded into a large bucket machine to the scrap pile.
Yesterday I was informed that 91122 will be having the gas axe today Thursday 4th July and be gone by Friday ready for the 321901 and 322481.

I much prefer the MK4 to the Azuma. The onboard ambience in the cabin is largely similar but I find the seats on an MK4 to be more comfortable. The First Class head cushion digs in to my shoulders on an Azuma and I find they lack the padding compared to the padding on an MK4. I try to reserve seats for the MK4 when I make bookings but despite the website saying it is an Intercity 225 service, twice now an Azuma has turned up instead!

I do also like the swallow livery which has been applied to an MK4 rake, I think it looks far smarter than the tacky Virgin livery. I wonder if the former smoking compartment dividers will be retained in the refurbishment.

I liked the VTEC livery but the new one is truly exceptional. However I don't believe there is any internal refurbishment planned for the LNER sets, so the smoking compartment dividers are still there - and indeed set NL16 has one in its Coach K, too, as it was formerly Coach M in BN18.

Does NL16’s coach K not have the crew rest area then?
