Pardon my ignorance, but what does TOE, TOD & SV stand for?

Trailer Open End ( the one that connects to the 91 )

Trailer Open Disabled ( obviously the one with the wheelchair space )

SV I am not sure about - not heard that one before!

TSOE - Tourist Standard Open - End. This is the coach next to the loco and doesn't have a corridor connection at the loco end

TSOD Tourist Standard Open - Disabled. Contains the easy access toilet and eheelchair space

SV - Service Vehicle. Basically the buffet car/kitchen (Restaurant on IC/GNER days)

Reported elsewhere that set BN25 has been taken to Worksop today by 66718.

3 sets down now to my knowledge - BN23 and BN25 at Worksop, with BN24 stopped.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld

BN25 I believe has the DVT 82216 in its formation (according to the ABRail website at November 2018), which means that was the only set out of the 4 I required for haulage I did not get yesterday (it was not in service).

There may still be hope as it may end up in Wales or on the Blackpool Open Access workings (if they ever start). I still require 91101, 122, and 130 for haulage, so may have another go at those in a couple of weeks.

Since I started noting the Mk IVs for haulage in 2014/15, and as I do not use the East Coast route regularly, it was not a bad effort overall. On a side note, I have managed to get all of the HST sets and power cars in the ICEC fleet for haulage.

82216 was reported as the DVT.

I understand that the vehicles destined for Wales and Blackpool are highly likely to come from these first off-lease sets, I don't think specific vehicle (loco or coaching stock) identities have yet been released in to the public domain.

91122 has always been rare for me - one of my sub-5k mileage 91's and 1 of only 2 that I haven't had west of Edinburgh.

You've done better than me with the PC's - 43272 still required and 43315 not had since 24th July 1999.

I still need 91115, 91117 and 91122. Yes 91122 is a bit of a rare thing. I have had all of my EC power cars but only two of them cleared for 1K unfortunately.

I'm going to take that with a pinch of salt.

The MK4 set in Ferme Park yesterday ie Mk4s plus DVT is that a withdrawn set?

I suspect that list maybe not entirely inaccurate.

I also suspect the 90 may be out again this coming week at some point (subject to the usual caveats).

Playing devil's advocate, that looks like something I could have typed up and printed in my home office in a few minutes.

On the other hand, taking it at face value, can anybody elaborate on what GSM-R 4.0 is? Can we draw any conclusions from this as to which locos may have a future working Blackpool and/or (very less likely in my view) Cardiff services?

Why would LNER spend all that time and money on fitting new wheelsets for 91103 only for it to be one of the first for withdrawal barely four months on...

Essendine or between Étaples and Rang-du-Fliers
I noticed yesterday that the Mk4s are being fitted with colour information screens on the end walls, which actually seem to work (unlike similar systems installed elsewhere). Connections at intermediate stations, live progress, tube status etc.

I’ve never been a fan of the refurbished Mk4 seats but I have to say Edinburgh - KX yesterday, even on a very busy train, was a real pleasure. I shall miss them when they are gone.

If it is official, what would you expect different?

I understand your point, but LNER have probably just typed up the list the same way anyone else would.

The sets have to be returned in good working order, or there could be financial penalties for LNER - it's the same as with a hire car really.

Simple - because the locos have to be handed back to the ROSCO in a fully operable condition and available for future use.

That's up to the ROSCO and potential future operators, but it isn't up to LNER.
