Am I right in thinking BN and EC are now Hitachi owned ?
If this is the case it might make sense to move the remaining Mk4 sets to a facility which might be able to better focus on "legacy" stock

Yeah they are both Hitachi depots.

Craigy is full with LNER, TPE and Scotrail Hitachi sets getting maintenance.

They are and have been for over year now I believe. And I'm not sure who would be better able to look after a Mk4 and 91 than the staff at Bounds Green who have been doing it for thirty years! ;)

Though I am intrigued that there might be some truth to a move to Neville Hill!

The speculation regarding NH being main depot for them has an element of truth to it as maintenance capacity is an issue elsewhere.

I think you know what he means!!

Old habits die hard....

I think there is a bigger issue here with BN, EC & NL all appearing to be operating at maximum Capacity. Not sure that moving to NL is much of a solution.

NL is currently full with the ex-LNER HST cascade to EMR. That being said, 225s are common place at NL and it isn't much of a stretch to think that LNER will carry out heavy maintenance on them there in the future. Most of the overnight work at NL is LNER stock anyway.

I know we are getting off topic here, but my understanding is that the EMR side of NL will fall to one of three parties: Northern, LNER or Network Rail. Hitachi showed an interest but have since formally withdrawn from the process to take over.

Do Siemens still have part of the Depot?
