LNR 350s - what are these cameras for?

I've noticed that the refurbished 350s have been fitted with pairs of cameras in the ceiling pointing at each door. What are these for? Photo attached.

They look like infrared sensors for the doors to me, could be wrong though.

I'd also spotted these.

They do look a bit like new automatic passenger counters.
I agree they do indeed look like passenger counters. I'd be surprised if they weren't.
