I’ve just past Tyseley on my way into work this morning and there appears to be at least 2 cars from a LM liveried 350 down by the Loco Works side. Out of interest, Does anybody know which 350 it is and what it is doing down there?

Thanks.

I think it is one of them that had an accident either the Watford Jn incident involving 350264 and 350233 which is more likely to be the one in Tyseley.

264 and 233 are both in service and have been for some months so definitely not either of those.
246 is more likely.

A similar question has been asked before and it was stated they were taken there to use the wheel lathe. Don't know if this was the case this time.

Don’t forget 350233 and 350264 are mix match sets. They are not in their original forms.350233 has a carriage from 64 and vice versa. I think a carriage from 246 as well. Could be 2 carriages from 233 or 264. Not sure.

True forgot about that! I think all of 233 is back...3 of its own and one in 264. 264 has the other coach I think. So it's one coach of 264 and 3 of 246 still out of use.

That’s interesting. Could be 350264 Damaged parts at tyseley then. 246 carriages are at repair.

Depends what coaches they are, if it's centre cars Its almost certain to be the 2 centre cars from 246 as they are the only ones not in use and wouldn't have sustained much if any damage whereas the DM vehicles from 264 and 246 would have.

That’s interesting. I’ll see if I can make a trip down. You can walk outside the depot. Pass by car. You can see it though the gates. I’ll see if I can get a closer look.

I believe they were centre vehicles - unfortunately I couldn't see them as I was on a passing Voyager I'm afraid, but you should be able to see them from the roadside.
