I've only ever been through Inverurie once, 26 years ago, and I can't remember anything about it. However, it definitely isn't Inverness, Invergordon, Inverkeithing, Inverkip or Invershin, so Inverurie looks a good shout.

Now positivelly confirmed as Inverurie,so it would have been Summer 1969.

I love those high-capacity telegraph poles, with their cross beams and cermic insulators. There must be over 20 circuits on those poles - just think how many simulataneous phone calls these would have enabled between Inverness and Aberdeen (or Dundee. or Edinburgh. or to foreign lands south of that)!
