This was 1Z57 Carnforth to Kyle - Private Charter by WCRC, complete with posh car in GUV. Holiday jolly for the owner of WCRC which was originally scheduled to run to Glenfinnan until 66734 tried to do a swan-dive into Loch Trieg.

Edit: Not a cl47 btw but 57001.

Returned yesterday from Kyle. It was a five-coach consist including the GUV mentioned above and some coaches from the Queen of Scots set. Scheduled to return tomorrow from Inverness to Carnforth (dep 1013 arr 2051).

Complete with posh car in GUV.

It took me a short while to work that phrase out...

So...

What was the process to get the car in and out of the GUV in the Highlands and was it one of the former FGW Motorail GUVs that used to be attached to the Sleepers?

Any pictures of this? I'd love to see some video or pics of the 'posh car' being unloaded from the train in the Highlands. Hopefully WCRC are media savvy and got some videos or pics themselves.

Not sure about anywhere else but at inverness it propelled into plat 2 and used the old motorail ramp for getting the car off....assume it will be getting loaded tomorrow morning at some point again:)
