Lovely shots Mr C! I fondly remember 37688 Great Rocks as a regular performer powering the ICI hoppers trains from Tunstead (Derbys.) to Northwich 30 years or so ago...she still fits quite harmoniously into the lovely Devon surroundings too
Just seen the tail end of what must be this train leaving Plymouth heading west:Here’s a couple of shots of it at Exeter st Thomas. It actually stopped for a couple of minutes.

It is free to register for the WNXX forum. I'd recommend it for up to date information.Reported on WNXX (subscription) that 45231 has been declared a failure and a pair of 37s are on their way to Gloucester, subject to revision of course

Here are photos of 40145 at Harlesden heading to Wembley and 90002 at Kensal Green heading to Euston.Any pics guys?
I've seen somewhere (on Facebook, I think) that she's going to be moved (or has been moved) to Canton for the wheels to be ground (if that's the right phrase). Once this has been done, she'll be taken back to Carnforth, but how and when I don't know.
This is purely based on my dodgy memory, so If I'm wrong, my apologies!
45231 is under the auspices of LSL so I imagine it would return to Crewe depot.
The issue apparently was bad flats on the tender wheelsets which is why it was removed from the train. Perhaps it can be hauled at reduced speed, or even be fired up and steamed to Canton.
Any pics guys?
There was a suggestion that the brakes were applied and the wheel locked up due to trespassersI wonder what happened there? Was the tender handbrake left wound on at some point maybe?

I’m right with you there, a nice rake of blue/grey mk1s behind her would be just perfection!40145 at Uffington on 7th April. Caught by Martin Loader.

Much as that pair of 37s are as smart as all get out, there's something about a 'Blue' 40 with headcode boxes that sits just right with me; even if 145 does clash ever so slightly with the coaches she's hauling there.
Aye, the cherry on top as it were. As it was, 145 on her own stole the show.I’m right with you there, a nice rake of blue/grey mk1s behind her would be just perfection!
Difference from a 37?40145 at Bristol Temple Meads the other day. I didn't know this was running, so when I'd come back from the nearby Starbucks and heard an unusual noise I went to investigate. First time I've heard a 40 in years, made a very nice change!View attachment 94206
