I`ve been told that some locos and stock are in storage at Worksop somewhere and wondered if anyone had any information about this, ie whats there, can it be viewed ? Many thanks in advance.

Class 345, class 142, MK4s and a class 47 + 08 as shunters. There appears to be one place around the back next to curry’s PC world where you can go round the back and see the 142s (I think that is all)

There is a fair bit there but as @IamTrainsYT states, not easy to see much. You can see a bit more from the train as you come in from the Sheffield end.

For reference, if you do go and you see a working on RTT booked to head into the platform and then reverse, they don't ALL actually do that. some hold short and reverse there, particularly if passenger services are delayed and there is a risk of the move making it worse so if you wanted photos of things reversing in the platform you might be disappointed.

The cafe and pub on the platforms are both excellent, although the pub isn't open all day (apart from the weekend).

Possibly the best view (and it's not that good) is from the Tesco Car Park opposite - because it's a bit higher up.

London Overground 710 units have also been stabled at Worksop. Havent been down there since mid Nov but there were quite a number there then.

This is the view from the Tesco delivery yard, you can walk up as the main yard is fenced off. Pic taken around 4.30am so apologies for quality. There was a NSE 50 just out of shot to the right too.

Wow thank you very much, that's impressive, what are they all doing there, some new and some withdrawn?
the locos are owned by HNRL so live there, the 142s are waiting to move off to other locations (scrap or heritage railways) the 195s are in and out of worksop and are on training runs as well as the 345s and 710s and finally the MK4s are waiting to move to booths rotherham for scrap

Many of the delivered 9 coach 345 units at Old Oak Common have had two coaches removed. These have been moved by road from London to Worksop. I saw a couple of these 2 coach sections at Worksop in mid November but have not seen any full list of those moved.

Sadly some local spotters that I met in mid November were more interested in the 376.. delivering 345045 just when I was there than the unit itself. They shrugged their shoulders when I asked if they had a full unit list!

Full and regular updates wd be so welcome!!!

I went by the depot yesterday, (11-07-2020) and lots of stock has been moved about. there are two 08`s there, one being 08904 and the other is , I think `4` which might be privately owned by HNRC. Also it seems that the LNER MK 4 stock has been removed, I did see a coach on a lowloader going past B & Q before the lockdown. I did not see a class 25 as has been hinted at but there are 2 class 20`s, 118 and 132 there. The stock is continually changing, plenty of 345`s and 710`s there but some numbers are impossible to get even if you go to the back of Tesco ! Also the depot is heavily secured so I would imagine no way one can access the depot !!

this is how to get there from worksop stationView attachment 72417
To be honest, don`t bother walking there, the depot has much security and you cannot see much from the gate as there are units behind the gate which are parallel with the entrance and hide the rest of the area. I know, I have been here many times to find a way to see the stock but it is almost impossible to see everything.

There were 2 class 25s there on Friday. One looking like it was going through a repaint as it was an odd bluish colour. The 720s have no numbers on, just paper on the windows signifying them. There was a third 20 in the depot.

25313 is at Worksop but is in the shed, a picture of it was posted on the Wensleydale Railway facebook page, also reported as recent arrivals are 20069, 20087 and 20110 along with D3000

Some of the Mk4 Stock appears to have gone by road to Sims Metals in Hull of late so it may have been some of that you saw.

Recent arrival 20110 Has also been started up this week. There was a video shared by Richard Clinnick of it on Twitter, so that may be on the come back too.

Hello

Had a look today.
Parking at B&Q and walking to the gate is definitely worth it. Viewed 720506 and 720528 plus a few spare 345 coaches. I've attached a photo of 20069, 20087 and D3000. Think the other Loco is 20110 but can't identify. Could also see Hunslet Shunter HNRC 29 and 25313/25057.
