I`ve been told that some locos and stock are in storage at Worksop somewhere and wondered if anyone had any information about this, ie whats there, can it be viewed ? Many thanks in advance.
Class 345, class 142, MK4s and a class 47 + 08 as shunters. There appears to be one place around the back next to curry’s PC world where you can go round the back and see the 142s (I think that is all)I`ve been told that some locos and stock are in storage at Worksop somewhere and wondered if anyone had any information about this, ie whats there, can it be viewed ? the locos are owned by HNRL so live there, the 142s are waiting to move off to other locations (scrap or heritage railways) the 195s are in and out of worksop and are on training runs as well as the 345s and 710s and finally the MK4s are waiting to move to booths rotherham for scrapWow thank you very much, that's impressive, what are they all doing there, some new and some withdrawn?

Sound like sensible folk to me!Sadly some local spotters that I met in mid November were more interested in the 376.. delivering 345045 just when I was there than the unit itself. They shrugged their shoulders when I asked if they had a full unit list!

this is how to get there from worksop stationView attachment 72417
To be honest, don`t bother walking there, the depot has much security and you cannot see much from the gate as there are units behind the gate which are parallel with the entrance and hide the rest of the area. I know, I have been here many times to find a way to see the stock but it is almost impossible to see everything.this is how to get there from worksop stationView attachment 72417
I went by the depot yesterday, (11-07-2020) and lots of stock has been moved about. there are two 08`s there, one being 08904 and the other is , I think `4` which might be privately owned by HNRC. Also it seems that the LNER MK 4 stock has been removed, I did see a coach on a lowloader going past B & Q before the lockdown. I did not see a class 25 as has been hinted at but there are 2 class 20`s, 118 and 132 there. The stock is continually changing, plenty of 345`s and 710`s there but some numbers are impossible to get even if you go to the back of Tesco ! Also the depot is heavily secured so I would imagine no way one can access the depot !!
Some of the Mk4 Stock appears to have gone by road to Sims Metals in Hull of late so it may have been some of that you saw.I went by the depot yesterday, (11-07-2020) and lots of stock has been moved about. there are two 08`s there, one being 08904 and the other is , I think `4` which might be privately owned by HNRC.
