Loksound decoder

Just a quick one, I am looking at ordering a Loksound DCC sound decoder for my Hornby East Mids HST, are they just a case of plug in and off you go? The only other sound fitted loco i have was factory fitted so this would be my first one ive done myself.

I am assuming you just replace the DCC decoder in the powercar with the sound one and program it? Or is there much more to it?

Yes.

Ended up having the one for my class 20, HST sold out.
