Just wondering if anyone has ideas about bringing down the cost for a King's Cross - Stevenage journey. It will be for Tuesday 27th, departing any time between 1700 and 1830 and returning the same evening, with a 16-25 railcard.

I am aware of the Off-Peak Day Return priced at £9.75 however this seems a little pricey.

Will you hold any other ticket(s) with validity over part of the route, e.g. a day or period Travelcard?

Do you intend to use Oyster Pay-as-You-Go on that day?

I will be using Oyster for one journey beforehand within Zone 1, however I will be finishing at a station with OSI facility at the end of that journey, so can potentially make the most of that and continue further towards Stevenage after a short stop.

Sorry, I can't spot any potential saving there unless you would be using Oyster again before 0430 next morning.
