Hello, I'm travelling from Paddington to Cardiff Central on an "any permitted" return ticket, is it valid to go via Gloucester? Any more variations other than the standard mainline route? Thanks

NRE might suggest Worcester but the fare does not appear to exist elsewhere. The GWR site can't find fares for a journey via Worcester, and BRFares doesn't list any with route 'via Evesham' which is what NRE suggests it is offering.
