Ok, so we've booked some London Spezial Tickets (or whatever they've been renamed to) to travel from St Pancras to Freiburg in the next few weeks. Our itinerary is:

Code:
0858 St Pancras - Brussels Midi 1205
1425 Brussels Midi - Koln Hbf 1615

--Overnight Stop--

1053 Koln Hbf - Freiburg 1453 (Via Rhine Valley)

Return:

1157 Freiburg - Koln Hbf 1505 (Via HSL)

--Overnight Stop--

1143 Koln Hbf - Brussels Midi 1335
1456 Brussels Midi - St Pancras 1605

We've already done the Eurostar leg once before, but I was wondering if there was anything interesting/useful anyone could share about any aspect of the journey :)

Thanks in advance for any advice

Enjoy the slightly insane leaping over hills that the High Speed Line does between Siegburg/Bonn and Frankfurt Flughafen (better experienced at trains not calling at Montabaur and the other intermediate stop)

Obvious point: find seats on the LH side of the train south from Köln.
The train is formed of Swiss stock.
