Is the LU Framework agreement legally binding?

Also is it a potential disciplinary if breached and something goes wrong? For example if someone works with say a 10 hour gap between shifts?

The framework agreement is broken whenever there is industrial action.

Staff have to have a minimum of 12 hours rest between shifts, I think for managers, this is reduced to 10 if there is an emergency. If a member of staff has screwed up without adequate rest, then I'd say the member of staff and the manager are both at fault.

Why would you do that ? You resume after your rest period and if that is after your subsequent shift starts you pick that duty up when you can and finish it as you would had you started it on time without any penalty.

Some people are so desperate to do overtime, or you might be doing a favour for a colleague.

Yes silly me - I forgot some people even volunteer to be ICSA's in their spare time for the love of the job.
