I'm afraid both 91337 (at Hainault) and 91341 (at Ruislip) remain long term stopped with no active repair work ongoing, although I understand that it is planned to resume works later in the year as these units will be required to support the service once the CLIP project is in full production (and taking 5 trains out of service at a time).


890 has just passed Wood Green en route to Cockfosters on train 334. It is not leading the train however as the unit has 891 leading and 890 'inside'

21353/21354 Worked District Train 122 stabled at Ealing Common depot at 10:16
21461/21462 District Train 23 arrived Embankment Eb at 14:38
21489/21490 I can't find a record of this in service in 2022
21549/21550 I can't find a record of this in service in 2022
21555/21556 District Train 6 arrived Earls Court WB at 14:39

Further to this, the last working I can find for 21549/50 was on the 19 August 2021 when it worked train 15, stabling at Ealing Common at around 19:21. 21489/90 has not worked since it also stabled at Ealing Common at 01:32 on the morning of Friday 31st December 2021. 21353/54 has not reappeared this morning either, but was working all last week, so will hopefully be gettable soon, whereas the other two appear to be fairly long term stopped (especially 21549/50).

It is definitely sensible to treat the morning peak only workings separately from those in the afternoon as there is a high chance that a set will be swapped between them, or with trains coming off maintenance.

Engineering works on the east end of the Central line at Snaresbrook and Leytonstone this weekend. So if you can bus it or walk from Leyton High Road on the Overground then you might get lucky.

21353/21354 are working Train 55 today - about to arrive at Tower Hill bay platform at 11:04 to reverse (not sure next destination but assume Wimbledon).
I can find no records of 21489/21490 or 21549/21550 working today, or having worked since your last visit I'm afraid...

Sorry, I know this won't help for yesterday - if it is any consolation, only one was 'gettable' - I have the following:

21019/20 approaching Harrow On the Hill SB at 10:52 today on train 436 (and was working yesterday),
21027/28 hasn't worked in the last week, other than what appears to have been a test working to Watford as Train 700 from Neasden in the early hours of yesterday (Monday 14 March). Despite this recent run, it appears on the stopped car list as having been stopped since July 2020 for ATC Testing, the expected return was at the end of 2021, suggesting the record has been updated since.
21107/108 appears to be stopped since December 2021 (and was also expected to return at the end of that month).

I have had a look at the stopped car lists for your others (the Jubilee is not on my system):
3532 is at Acton works, presumably as part of the ongoing heavy repair and modification programme, shown as returning to service at the end of June 2022.
11035/36 has been stopped since October 2019 and is shown as expected in service by October 2022
21463/64 has been stopped since July 2020 and is shown as expected in service by May 2022
21469/70 has been stopped since March 2020 and is shown as expected in service by 12 March 2022 (but clearly didn't make it).
21479/80 has been stopped since October 2021 and is also shown as expected in service by 12 March 2022 (and also didn't make it).
21487/88 has been stopped since March 2020 and is shown as expected in service by September 2022

I can't say I knew of that before, but that is very useful. 3461 is out I see, not 3439 though so I shall see what I decide to do when I arrive at Paddington shortly.

I like the "Details for Nerds" link! However, to save you trawling through each train number (and then checking the change of leading car with each change of direction), I have the following:

I cannot find 3539/3439 in service during March 2022, but strangely, it is not listed as 'stopped'. Are you sure you need 3439, I have checked my stock list and there doesn't appear to be a car 3439 (or 3559) in any of the sets...? Further edit, some details about what happened to 3439 on this thread of District Dave's forum: https://districtdavesforum.co.uk/thread/26811/1972-stock-numbering-sequence. For the record 3399 (the former 3439) is in set 3299 leading Train 222 SB past Baker Street at 08:26...

3561 (set includes 3461), however is in service NB past Baker Street on Train 241 at 08:16.

You would need to look for the NB leading 35XX car on the previously linked website.

Bakerloo trains are made up of 4 and 3 car units as follows:

North end
35xx
45xx
34xx

33yy (middle cab, except 3399)
43yy
42yy
32yy
South end

So when talking about units we always use the leading car number so either 35xx or 32xx.

The middle cab never gets used then? Was there ever any facility to turn Bakerloo cars, or has it always been this way?

I believe the middle cabs on Piccadilly stock see regular use, is it just a holdover from the common design?

Middle cab on ‘72 Stock can be used for moving trains around depots etc but were not fitted for OPO upon refurbishment in late-80s.
‘73 Stock double-enders can be used in service from either end.
