The lunchtime Meridian News shown here had some nice shots of Lord Nelson being towed in light steam by diesel from Eastleigh works, past the main Down Platform, then on to the Romsey branch en route for the WSR. When was the last time a steam locomotive went via Chandlers Ford? I assume that preserved locos that go through Romsey go via Southampton and the Test Valley route?
