Amazed that nobody has mentioned this derailment which has been causing disruption on the Cornwall main line all day. About four china clay wagons derailed in the sidings east of the level crossing, fouling the down main. Single line working on the Up line in force all day through Lostwithiel. Recovery with jacks began around 1700 and was continuing at 2100 as darkness fell (no sign of any lighting rigs, so probably packed up for the night). I can't help feeling that a good old rail mounted crane could have rerailed this lot in half the time.
