On the subject of female rail travellers, an ex of of mine once proclaimed that the roar of a locomotive on full throttle was more thrilling than any motorbike she'd ever been on, an opinion also echoed by my older sister who whilst travelling with me in the 1990s proclaimed that the sound of 37429 leaving Bangor was almost as good as sex!!! For some reason none of them quite appreciated 101s or pacers half as much.

Their is one who sits on Eastleigh station all day most days spotting just wagons.
As for the stoat in the photo i would poke the lady for sure.

You think that's bad? Try doing an overnighter at Carlisle, some of them camp out for the sole purpose of recording wagon numbers. I'm told it wasn't a one-off but a regular event!
