Hi, similar question to a recent one by another poster regarding routes from Maidenhead..
Which routes are valid for tickets from Maidenhead to Gunnersbury or Chiswick Park (London Zones 3-6)?

via Reading?
via Slough/Windsor?
via Ealing Broadway?

Thanks

You can actually buy a ticket from Maidenhead to Zone U3 which is routed via Ealing Common / West Acton and allows you to change at Ealing Broadway onto the District to Chiswick Pk or onto Turnham Gr to get to Gunnersbury.

But for Gunnersbury there are fares for all 3 routes, and the Travelcard fares are ANY PERMITTED ...so apparently a Travelcard, if that is whst the OP is interested in, could be used via Reading (contrary to my answer on the other thread).
Edit: NRE tells me that an Offpeak Travelcard is valid via Reading.
