in 5 words or less, how would you describe the major station on the network you use most?

Here are the three I use most (generally in equal proportion):

London Victoria:

Large. Clean. Busy. Pretty routine.

London Bridge:

Grey. Building works. "Interesting" layout.

East Croydon:

Depressing. Good staff. Platform alterations.

Euston: Clinical. Dark. First Class Lounge.

Birmingham New Street: Depressing. Busy. Too few platforms.

Tiverton Parkway: 7 miles away, decent station.

Exeter St Davids: good location, currently lacks modernity.

Taunton: cheap parking and well designed.

Euston: A grim concrete depressing hell

Birmingham New Street - dank, dark, depressing, concrete hell

Kings Cross - Transition, gateway, escape route north!

Chester: Bird poo - on your head.

Denton: You've got a long wait.

Wigan North Western: Misery. Just misery.

Denton: You've got a long wait.

Now we've moved onto minor stations (ahem, see the title of the thread, but on second thoughts, don't worry ;) ):

Betchworth: Two hour wait. Nice area.

Lympstone Commando: You might not get shot.

(Never been there, mind :( .)

Roding Valley (LU): Meet TfL enthusiasts (nobody else).

Altnabreac: Nobody will hear you scream.

And some less-minor local ones for me:

Reigate: Built in Homebase car park.

Redhill: Historic site serves complete dump.

Merstham: May as well not bother.

Bath Spa: Grand construction site of numpties

Birmingham New Street: Get me out of here!!!!!

Bristol TM: I forgot how to count! [passenger platforms go 1, 3-13, 15]

Cardiff Central: Welsh = Good. Arriva = Bad. Sigh...

Feltham: Please remove the level crossing!

London Paddington: Brunel's busy diesel-stained masterpiece

London Waterloo: Too busy for my liking

Reading: Get on with it already!

Southend Victoria: The other Victorias are bigger

Thorpe Bay: Hello, my niece and cat!

Those are all the stations I use at least semi-regularly. Obviously some are not especially important, but all see upwards of 500,000 passengers a year and almost all see more than 1M a year. And some have too many visitors!

Oxford

Student girlies. yum yum yum

What are you like
