Major upgrade planned for Lewisham station

I went through the station yesterday. No works have been done on platform 1 but platform 2 has had some platform work done. I haven't see any works done on the track but Easter weekend is coming up and I've seen some track dumped in preparation in various places.

Platform 1&2 remains open for much of the Easter weekend, as Charing X trains are still running to Hayes

On another sad note... Will Easter weekend see the coffin nailed shut on London Bridge as Hither Green/Grove Park goes over to the Great Beast TBROC ? We haven't been given the new TBROC panel yet !

Possibly not. This was sent out by Southeastern a short while ago;

The commissioning of new re-signalling system for the Hither Green area that was due to take place over the Easter holiday has been postponed. Network Rail and their contractors - Siemens and Balfour Beatty - were not able to complete the work in the four-day period as planned due to Public Health England social distancing guidelines.

Instead, Network Rail will be carrying out general station improvements, signalling resilience in the Lewisham area and the installation of electrical safety equipment to improve the efficiency of our engineering work.
