Manchester - Liverpool - Chester - Manchester

Morning!!

I have a friend visiting tomorrow. He'll be travelling MAnchester to Liverpool direct on Saturday, then travelling to Chester on Sunday morning before travelling back to Manchester.

Any idea on the best ticket(s) to use? A Manchester-Liverpool return isn't valid.

Manchester to Hooton would be allowed via Liverpool or via Chester. He could use it as far as Liverpool on the Saturday, then buy a single to Hooton on the Sunday and use the return portion from Hooton to Manchester via Chester.
